Luilekkerland (Land of Plenty)
The children of ’t Kasteel Trigon worked together with Charlotte Provot and Fleur van den Berg on a DreamPlayWall, creating a contemporary Luilekkerland.
The story of Luilekkerland — or the Land of Plenty — is centuries old. Traditionally it is told as a litany of delights, sometimes as an upside-down world, and has often been described as a “lying tale.” The story always adapts to its time. Here too, the children imagined their own version: filled with money, candy, phones, computers, swimming, dancing, and gaming. Alongside classical themes such as the endless rice pudding and the Fountain of Youth, they invented the Simsalabim, a place where knowledge and cleverness are acquired without learning. A board game of “living stratego” played with candy figures was designed.
